John Pudney Lewis Carroll and His World was published by Thames and Hudson in London in 1976 and is the first edition book.  John Pudney Lewis Carroll and His World is a very detailed book on the life of Lewis Carroll and comes with its original dust jacket and 109 illustrations within this collectable Lewis Carroll book.


The Lewis Carroll and His World front of the dust jacket pictures a large illustration of Lewis Carroll as stated to the front flap of the dust jacket: “Lewis Carroll Cartoon by H. Furniss, superimposed on pages from Lewis Carroll’s MS of Alice with his photo of Alice Liddell.”  


The Lewis Carroll and His World back of the dust jacket is a “view into Christ Church, Oxford, Carroll’s home for 47 years.”  The spine has Lewis Carroll’s name in silver and all other lettering and the Thames and Hudson logo in black.  The dust jacket is housed in a removable protective jacket and is in Very Good condition being very slightly crinkled.


The John Pudney Lewis Carroll and His World original grey binding have a gilt decoration to the front board, plain back board, and gilt lettering to the spine.
